You Don’t Have to Join the 5 AM Club to be More Productive
Let’s be real, it can be difficult for the majority of us to follow the tips of influencers who have time to join the 5 AM club. Believe it or not, there are other ways to begin your journey to building healthy habits that will make it easier to reach your goals! Keep in mind: a start doesn’t have to be a huge adjustment to your life. My favorite first three baby-steps are:
1. Charge your phone on the opposite side of your room.
Unless you’re a first responder, you likely don’t need your smartphone right beside your bed. Turn up your alarm ringer, and charge your phone where you have to physically get out of bed to turn off your alarm.
2. Make your bed before you start scrolling through your phone.
The first thing you do in the morning can really impact how the rest of your day will go. I think we can all agree that scrolling through your emails or social media is not an ideal way to start a productive day. Make your bed and preface your morning with something that will help you feel organized.
3. Eat a good breakfast.
This should be self explanatory, but for all of you hooligans out there who like to skip breakfast: you’re wrong. Your coffee might get your brain through the day, but it’s not helping your body. If you want to start being productive and proactive, you need to feed your cells nutrients for your brain to work properly- shocker!
